Just another suggestion: If you have an icemaker near the floor, remove the louvered panel below the door and check the "radiator" fins for blockage of any type. If a previous owner had a dog or cat there might be a "blanket"
of hair preventing circulation needed for cooling.
Good time of the year for anyone with this floor location icemaker as it is spring and your pet might be shedding and the hair will find your icemaker.
icemaker built into Dometic. I will need to be extra careful for winterization
Cut my ice maker off in Dometic and purchased a very small Ice Maker that sits on top of counter. Pour in the water and take out the Ice. Very efficent and makes more ice than you will need so bag it and put in freezer. When I bring my coach over for loading I turn on this ice maker and I am bagging ice before the freezer gets cold. Got mine from "Compact Appliance" on line in Austin , Texas but everyone has a copy now even Sams. Paid about $150. You do not need to pay for the Stainless steel model. Dan
Stainless one at SAMs for $99.00. Works well.
John, did the same thing, those little machines will make a bunch of ice once it cools down
All those sound nice, but ours came with the coach and we very seldom use the ice for anything, seeing as how we drink wine or Mike's Hard Lemonade (when we do have a drink).
But, our U-line works so I am one to not throw something away until it starts costing me more than it is worth or it breaks entirely.
We installed a Samsung residential fridge with built-in ice maker, so our U-LIne became redundant. We removed it and had 2 generous sized storage drawers installed in the opening. Work done by Re-mod shop at FOT - highly recommended.
