Gary,

Have you checked  to see if it is the flush valve that is leaking rather than the piping? Depending on the floor plan and chassis type will determine how hard it is to access the piping.  Lot of the time the leaks are with the fittings rather than the pipe itself.

By the way welcome to the RV lifestyle and the Foretravel family.  If this is your first coach you will have a steeeeep learning curve but we have all been in your shoes.

Gary if you gives a little more info on your Coach that would be helpful, We have a 92 U300 40 foot with a walk thru Bath, Under the sink in the bath there might me a valve for filling the fresh water tank. open all the way lets city water in to fill the tank, closed will let your run the off the pump. again not sure what Coach you have.

Gary,
My wife and I are new to this also. We had a similar problem this weekend with our 99 U270 36'. I did a no no and left the coach hooked up to city water while we were away. The shower faucet was leaking just enough to overflow the gray water while we were away and the shower overflowed. Don't know what your shower basin was like, but if it was full it may have been something similar. Hang in there and good luck. So far I'm not sure what is going to cost me more in the long run, coach repairs or headache and blood pressure meds.

We have a 1990 U280 and had a similar wet carpet event right after we bought it.  The leak turned out to be a crack in the flush valve on the SeaLand toilet.  $30 bucks, 15 minutes and a new flush valve solved the problem.

Gary, welcome to the Forum.

If you will fill out the coach info on your profile page, and add some coach info to your signature, it will really help when you ask a question.

The "Search" function on this Forum is your friend!  When I have a problem, the FIRST thing I do is search here for that subject.  Almost always find some helpful information, or at least leads on where to start.  If "Search" doesn't help, then it's time to post a question.

Bathroom water leaks - two likely sources: The toilet (you should hope for this one, because it is usually a easier fix), or the shower.

If you search "shower leak" or "toilet leak" you will learn that this is, unfortunately, a common problem...for instance, see this thread:

On my 91 I had a leak on the risers to the sink the grey nuts would not tighten on the faucet.cut it all loose and rebuilt it. Previous owner had removed carpet probably due to the sink leak.

If you have a water line from the sink to the refrigerator it could be leaking .  Cut off is under the sink by the filter.  I have the line cut off as I do not use the icemaker in the fridge.  I have known many coaches who have had this line leak.  I do know your floor plan but a line to the Ice maker etc could cause a lot of water on the floor.  If you have hoses to a washing machine ck these for leaks of if no washer the plumbing will still be there and could be leaking.  More than likely it will be something easy to get to.

I have gone thru 2 flush valves on my 97 U295. The way I find out they are leaking is wet carpet.

One of several excellent reasons why carpet in the bathroom is a BAD idea.  When we bought our coach, my DW looked at the bathroom carpet and said "This has GOT to go".  Took us awhile to get around to (affording) it, but we finally made it happen.  Of course, water leaks are still going to occur, but at least you don't have the "soggy carpet" mess to add insult to injury.

Before anyone can really help you need to mention (as  others have said)  which coach/year you have, then we will go from there.
It is most probably a simple fix, but forst things first.
