Hello all,
I was wanting your thoughts on my irritating problem. My monitor system has a lines that will move from the bottom up to the top of the monitor, has anyone fixed this same problem. I put a new 7" monitor in and it continues to have the same problem. I figure the monitor system computer box or the coax cable that hooks to the monitor, any thoughts appreciated.
If you have the OEM audit system those lines may be the harbinger of failure. ( always wanted to use that big word ).
First of all check that you have 12 volts at the monitor, pull the aluminum case off and verify that the multi contact connector is clean and tight. If that fixes it you may then have time to check out newer systems.
Now that I reread your post I see that this is a new monitor, would still suspect a voltage problem.

If you put a new monitor in there is an old power supply that goes to the audit system in there too. You might have to disconnect it at least I had to on my 01
By disconnecting the power supply will that disable the monitor system. I would believe if I just run my back up camera straight to my new monitor the screen would be fine but, of course I would loose my monitoring system. I guess my question is this monitor brain box repairable, or not worth it, and I should just add a new tank monitor system. I would like to use the old system just because that's the way it came, and my data seems to be monitored when I flip the select switch to each screen. I was hoping there was a way to fix the water lines moving across my screen by something that I was missing or that can be done that fixes this specific problem of the lines. Thanks
Mine has lines that move from the compressor motors when the roof air conditioner is running or when engine is running (alternator).
I'm not a electronic expert obviously but, is there some kind of filter, diode, whatever that can be put in line. I'm guessing to the power line or ground line running to the monitor system brain box that would eliminate the interference. Any suggestions or solutions.
I put in a See Level system and love it and put in a new monitor that goes to a new camera that is better then the old one. A win all the way around.
Thanks for your comment, I do already have a new color camera to go with my color monitor, and I may just upgrade to the see level monitor system, I was trying to make one last attempt to use the existing system. I have researched the see level kit seems that everyone who uses it, likes it. Thanks
