PO had satellite television installed in rig but removed the system. We are not big TV watcher's but would like to see the weather. Can't pick up OTA on the batwing. Has 2 coax cables coming into a splitter. One labeled "ant " one "cable " with one 1 going "out ". Operating the switch on the splitter makes no difference. Can't get anything on the TV. Others in the area have OTA stations. Where to look?
I warned you all of the questions ;D
Larry
Did you turn the antenna booster switch on? Our TV won't get a picture without it.
Are the TV's equiped with a digital tuner (newer ones) or are the TV's the original which will require a digital converter box? Older TV's need a converter box to display digital signals. As mentioned above, signal booster must be turned on or you may not get any signal. Also please update your profile so your signature includes the coach year and model. This is really helpful in answering your questions.
Rick, the original antenna booster switch is cut off and laying in the cabinet next to a box called Trip-Lite Park R 7-b which I think is a booster. I had it on but no luck.
Peter, the TV's are nice new flat screens. Thought I had updated. :'( I have a 96 u320 36'.

Check your connections. As I have read here, many times that's where the problem lies. I first ran a coax direct from the Antenna to the TV to eliminate connections as a variable. That worked, so then I started looking for problems. My connection from the antenna to the roof was bad.
As far as the booster, I'll try to quote from the archives:
I'm not sure what a Trip-Lite Park R 7-b is, but if you check as noted above, should let you know if the booster is working.
Thanks Rick. I am tracing wires and trying to figure where they go. I have 2 volt meters in storage. I put them where I could get to them, now I can't find them. Go figure. I plan on getting a wire trace tool, haven't been near a big box store, hopefully this weekend.
Peter, I updated my profile but it doesn't show up on the comments. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Larry
I can surely relate to that.
When you edit your profile, did you notice the save button at lower right?
Larry,
All that you have in your signature file now is your first and last name.

I had a similar problem. I replaced the cable inside and replaced their booster with a Wineguard Sensor Pro amplifier. It was easy to find the 12v supply in my 2002 U295. TV reception is fantastic
Larry,
Click on MY Account box on the upper right just below the ForeForums Logo and select "Forum Profile".
Scroll all the way down and at the bottom right select "Change Profile".
Scroll down until you see "Signature"
Enter your information in the box.
Then scroll all the way to the bottom and select "Change profile"
The new Signature should be ready to view.
Hope this helps. To add picture go to Forum

there you will find all the necessary instruictions.
Good luck and be patient.
I find that sometimes I forget to press the "input" button to get to the OTA on the TV. Then there is the button on the box and the boost switch. All TVs are different but some you have to scan for which OTA stations are available. Its not just plug in and it works anymore. You will get it just a matter of the right combination.
Thanks Peter. I will add a picture when I get a good picture.
Dan &MrIrishSam, I will be trying to chase more down the first of the week. Family members have invited themselves over so that I can BBQ for them. 😊

Thanks for the reminder. Forgot all about the "ANT" button. Now I get 2 channels. ;D
