Our Convection/ Microwave in the 92 is the original one, Magic Chef and We want to replace with just a Microwave. I looked in the past post and could not fined any information. Has anyone replaced the under the counter unit with just a Microwave that fits in the same spot. I do not want to put in a shelf.

I have changed one real easy, the only difficult part depends if you have any mirror directly below your convection oven. I had a wood trim piece I had to cut 1/4" off of to get the new microwave mounting plate to fit. Otherwise it's remove and replace, you may need new holes drilled through your top cabinet also to mount the top, but overall fairly simple.
I replaced my 30" Convection/ Microwave with a 30" microwave because the motor the turned the table went bad.
It wasn't an easy job but it wasn't too hard either. Make sure you get something with an offset door, if necessary, so the door will open.
What Slim said. Be sure the door will open if the microwave is positioned against a wall. IIRC yours is.
We went with the convection since Dori used the old one all the time. She liked it better then the propane oven. We also use a toaster oven on occasion but Dori still likes the convection better.
We looked at a ton of microwaves and finially decided on the same one Barry & Cindy installed. Replacing R-1830B Microwave with R1875-T (http://beamalarm.com/Documents/replacing_r1830b_microwave_with_r1875t.html) I picked mine up at HomeDepot on sale. I pretty sure it was around $480 something.
One thing to consider is that the existing one is 850 watts while most home unit are 1500 watts. That means it cooks slower (which I'm sure you or you wife is probably aware of). To me that's a good thing for 2 reasons. One it gives the heat more time to disperse through the food and two it is much easier on the inverter if you ever run off of it. Just FYI...
During install beware the hidden screw(s). :)
