While installing a Dinosaur board in my fridge, after the Navy RV site destroyed the last 2 (It's a subject of a soon to be post), I found a wire laying in the outside fridge access compartment. Its a white wire with a woven high temp covering about 12 - 14 gage. One end has an additional cover that is a piece of black tubing. It starts at the RH side somewhere and vanishes by the control board upper left corner but is not present on the board. At about midpoint the wire is folded into several bends like a sine wave. This is covered with aluminum foil tape that was stuck to something. Question: What was it stuck to? Is it an after market item? I cannot find it in the Dometic parts list. Sorry for the lousy pic but the mosquitoes were out.
Added a Dometic Diagnostic manual I found while researching this.

Keith,
I'm not for sure but that looks like the heating element that goes around the water valve that feeds the icemaker. If that is what it is you should find one end connected to a little black flip switch that is hid behind the control board.( at least that is where ours is hid at)

Yes. Heater for ice maker valve. The aluminum part should be wrapped around the valve.

Thanks everyone. As my ice-maker has been removed I won't have to worry about it.
Funny how in less than 2 hours I have my answer on the forum twice and Dometic did not know what I was asking about.
