I know some of you haven't been happy with the service of Fortravel parts. This is a good post, yesterday I called Mike Grimes E XT 154 he answered first ring. I said that I had a 6 switch intellitec that controlled my front shades and it wasn't working at times. He said send it in we will replace it and reprogram it. I sent it overnight UPS. He just called the replacement is being programed as I write this. He is sending it back overnight my UPS account and I will have it tomorrow. How could you ask for better service? Kudos to Mike.
That is great.
I also had a very good experience ordering & receiving quickly a part recently...they do send it out really quick, of course occasionally shipping costs more than the part, but it's worth it if it's critical to getting or keeping your coach going. (this wasn't).
Ditto.
Yes, I wanted a sensor for my grey water monitor. Mike returned my call within an hour and in time to get shipment out that day. Although I was not in any hurry, it was here 3 days later. I was pleased .
Every time I have ordered from Mike he was outstanding. It did not matter whether it was over the phone or in person Mike was professional and a pleasure to deal with.
That has been my experience with anyone in parts at Foretravel. They know what you need and ship fast.
Walked intro parts the past two days looking for little things that pertained to early 90's Grandvilla's. They found them sitting on the shelves. No complaints from me (this visit).
As a Foretravel sales manager in the 80's in ca I had the pleasure to work with mike grimes countless times.
My shop guys needed more income so I switched from having the factory put on all the then accessories there to having them put the same parts in new coaches coming in for me to sell.
Plus full coaches of carpet as I redid old FTX's constantly to look like the new ones.
$15k a month? Same cost to me and my shop guys got to eat better.
Mike and his guys were flawless. I cannot imagine him forgetting how to do this stuff since.
True pro and an totally honest guy.
My buddy Mike...
I made my first parts order from FOT a couple of weeks ago. I talked to Mike Grimes Monday morning and had eight Koni FSD's delivered on Wednesday morning. "Nuff said!

I just wanted to give a little recognition to Mike Grimes in parts at the Mother ship. My Knoedler seat had the 8 way switch take a dump. I was able to take the seat apart and locate the serial number, part number for the switch. I was able to temporarily fix the seat to go forward and backward which was the problem. I called Canada which is their headquarters and spoke to customer service. There response was we don't use that switch any more and the one we use won't work as the little pc board inside is different. I called Mike at Foretravel and told him my tale of woe. He said send pictures of everything. Yesterday AM I went to storage and shot the photos. Three hours Mike called to tell me they found a part that will work and he had them drop ship to me. he also only charged what they said was his cost. I was very impressed with Mike and how helpful he was. Even though at times I can get frustrated with the Mother ship, it is these types of acts that reinforce my steadfast support of the company. I just wish there were ways to let others know of Mike's help beside this forum and a brief email to management. The company appears not to have a way to reward and recognize those special people who are what makes foretravel, Foretravel.
Indeed, Mike Grimes is one of the truly dedicated and valuable Foretravel employees.
Most of the guys, including Mike, will do most anything when they get " A Round "TUIT"
Mike was outstanding every time I called and bought parts and he is just as professional in person
30 years ago Mike was my go to guy when I was sales manager in ca from 86-89.
$6-7k worth of parts most months back then. Full carpet rolls, awnings, power seats and bases,
Total pro then as he was yesterday when I ordered parts from him that I could have sourced cheaper other places.
Support your dealer. Out of my pocket. Happy in a way to do it.
When I needed my new black tank, Mike came through. Had to crawl around old tanks for a couple of hours before he found one that would fit. Saved my bacon.

Mike was/is(?) a 1989 Foretravel Grand Villa owner when we met him in 2010 on our first trip to TX. Nicer man you couldn't meet. He has been super helpful whenever I inquired about anything regarding our coach.
Mike be "THE MAN" as far as I am concerned.
Just want to "second" the commendations for Mike Grimes. I was on the phone with him yesterday, about a couple of (relatively speaking) inconsequential, inexpensive parts. He was as helpful and gracious as if I had been asking about thousands of dollars of parts.
Big thanks to Mike, and much respect. Looking forward to meeting him in person to say thanks in Nacogdoches, when I'm able to get there.
Yes, I fully agree with the above comments. Only wish to add the total bill including shipping was reduced by 10%
