Mike,

Many of us on this Forum are LAZY - for a post like this, do us a favor and insert a link to the appropriate page.  Like this:

1998 Foretravel U270 M3600 Class A Diesel Motor Coach RV 1 Owner Maint... (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Foretravel-U270-M3600-Class-A-Diesel-Motor-Coach-RV-1-Owner-Maint-Records-/291526453693?forcerrptr=true&hash=item43e054a9bd&item=291526453693)

It's a well done advertisement - lots of bright, clear photos - I wish every RV ad would include a photo of the manufacturer's data plate!

This one looks familiar. I think it was posted here a few weeks ago. If I remember correctly there were concerns about it having brand new wheels and lots of fresh black spray paint.

Just yesterday a co-worker showed me his new-to-them 1998 Airstream that looks remarkably like the U270 (even to the decorative panel between the galley and the head). I was impressed with the Airstream, too. He just got it home... price was $28k and 50,000 miles. Diesel genny, etc. and one driver-side slide.

I did a double-take on that panel though.

They let it go considerably cheaper than 33k. I was the high bidder and we worked it out, and a friend of mine is the new owner. Picking it up next weekend.

check your math. "reserve not met" means it did not sell for my high bid of $25900.

I noticed the coffee maker suspended under the cupboard in one of the pictures. Anyone know make & model? Still available? (the coffee maker, not the coach).

I imagine, for the right price for the coffee maker, the dealer would throw in the coach. >:D  >:D

Thanks. Our old B&D leaks a bit on the bottom of the housing. We took it out of our old '97 class C when we found the GV didn't have one. Turns out the previous owners took out the B&D to put in their next coach! The mounting holes were a perfect match and the same owner's manual was in a three ring binder--exactly same model!

Had one of them hanging under the above sink cabinets when we got this coach. That was taken out as soon as I stopped at home after driving it here. The blinds had coffee stains all over them and you could hardly see out that little window. Luckily the Blind cleaned up with TSP.

OH, OH, John!! I always thought the newer coaches with air bags rode smoother than my leaf spring equipped GV! >:D  >:D Maybe not the pot, but the coach? (yeah, sure--  :-)
I haven't had issues with coffee spilling with the old B&D, but I only make a six cup pot and pour my four cup insulated coffee cup full before we take off. We have a Velcro strap that is put in position to hold the pot in place while traveling and I leave the lid on the decanter(?) at all times.
