I bought the 270 I'd been looking at and brought it back to Maryland. Has a number of what I hope are minor repairs. To inspect I need to replace the cracked right front windshield. I got a price of $1250 from a mobile repair place based in California. Does that sound reasonable? I'd hoped to keep it around $1000.Also the Alpine radio and front passenger seat stopped working. May be coincidence. I could take it by a Best Buy who installed the radio. If there's something I can check myself on the seat I'd appreciate being steered in the right direction. The seller said he had visitors in the coach and an 8 yr old was playing with the seat controls. Who knows what he may have done. I have many more questions but I'll try not to overburden this site. Thanks for any feedback.
That would be reasonable for a Grand Villa style Foretravel. Not sure about later models -- 1995 and up.
Goldbehen, you will never overburden this site. That is what we are here for :)
I paid $557 at FT two years ago, but of course my insurance has $100 glass deductible.
A few years ago, I had a grand son messed up my seat control, melted the plug in behind the switch.
I think a grand is pretty standard for the windshield. Regarding the seat, check the electrical connection under the seat. Also, there is a breaker for the seats on a 99 320 (probably the same on the 270) in the 12 volt distribution panel. On the 320 that panel is in the compartment with the joey beds on the driver's side. Also has some relays and the main fusible link and some other stuff. Here's a photo with the arrow pointing to the breaker.

Xtreme just quoted me $900 to install the passenger side windshield
George, you said " a few years ago I had a grandson" what a shame to get rid of him for messing up your seat control >:D ^.^d

I think you will find fuses in the front dash panel in front of the pass chair on the 99 270. Just grap the vents and lift up on the flat vertical area. As to the radio If I spent any money in that area I would up grade.
Thanks for the responses. Since a trip to Texas might be down the road a while, are there any glass repair businesses you'd recommend ? I'll check both fuse and breaker locations to see about the seat. Regarding the radio, it's a fairly new alpine.
