Title: Eaton rear end gear oil
Post by: nitehawk on August 06, 2015, 01:22:44 pm
Anyone happen to know what weight oil goes in my 1989 Eaton 4:33 differential! I can't find any info in any of the documents that came with the coach.
I have 75W-90 and 85W-140 gear oil (limited slip) here at home.

For the temperature range we normally operate in 75W-90 synthetic will work OK.

^ i agree. Based on the temp charts in the book, any 75w-90 or 80w-90 would be perfectly fine. Id always recommend a synthetic. Cheap insurance.

Thanks for the replies. Leaving in the early AM so will check the level, add 75W-90 limited slip oil until we get back, then see about draining & replacing with synthetic oil.
Thanks again.
