I'd like to jump on that $999 "WHEEL DEAL"...might be worth a run over to NAC!
Interesting that for this "special" they are also offering MC discount on remod. IIRC that was explicitly eliminated from from MC benefits starting this year.
Wow, $429 to make sure your light-bulbs and windshield wipers work?
I think we already know how you feel about FOT. How does your comment help others on this forum?

It's a forum. Where people express opinions. How about this opinion. The tire/alignment special seems to be a good value.
Nice to see they are attempting to reach out. I would have thought they might have emailed this "Offer" to their Motorcade and existing customer base.
I assume the HOT weather in Texas has emptied their waiting list?
Scott & Carol--Seems posting it (...or having the ad posted) on this Forum is more efficient for FT. I'm a (new) MCade member and consumer/customer of their parts and service depts, yet I discovered these services on our forum. Nothing from the company sent directly to me to earn my business or subsequent loyalty.
I was unaware of FOT having "specials". Never noticed it on their website. Do they do this on a regular basis? Being a new owner, I know who I would prefer to look my coach over, the group in Nac. Hope to get down there this fall. How long do I have to join Motorcade for the first year free?

I guess I am hopeful and optimistic.

We have had our coach for about 2-1/2 years and have never seen a flyer like that before. I would suggest you call Beverly Koonce @ 800-955-62262 and ask the question re: Free Membership. I do not know her ext.
Scott/Carol: I have never seen this type of discount at Foretravel before either appears a new approach is on the horizon. Now they want your business. I only hope they will work hard to deserve it. They have the ability and most of the time are the best as they know these coaches from bumper to bumper and have the parts. I think I am just old fashion and wish to be appreciated where I choose to spend my money.
I agree Dan...
Maybe FT has realized MOT, Bern'd, and James are making a lot of money on repairing older FT. I hope this change in business model will be a benefit to all the forum members. If the factory reduces customer charges, others will respond in kind. Thus win win for everyone. Right now I see a culture of "charge as much as possible" instead of reasonable and proper.
As a group we could change this attitude of "charge as much as possible" to a fair price for a fair job. What ever happen to fair pricing for work done on our FT? Shop rates of $120 are in line with the rest of service providers, however, when companies use excessive hours when doing work is what needs to stop. There need to be shop banked hours like the auto industry, to replace water pump is a specific number of hours and if the tech goes over that time then the customer only pays for the banked hours. This has 2 advantages, first the customer know what he will be charged and secondly there is a incentive for the company to hire qualified techs rather then win win with the way it is done now. If the tech takes 22 hours to replace fuel lines or 43 hours, which do you think the company prefers? And that is what is happening.
I received MC discount in June and July on my 16 coach buck interior remodel Yes, I owe pictures....
I also received a discount on remod work. Also, they run this special every so often. I think it usually follows my receipt in the mail of a discount on service from MOT.
The times I've been at FOT I've seen bulletins with current sale items next to the parts counter. Never have seen one in the mail (or email).

I've also received a discount on remod work as MC member, twice. They do good work and they are nice honest folks. I am afraid though their most experienced folks are getting up there & the youngsters needs more training ... there was a small hiccup by an inexperienced tech that had to be remedied by an older / experienced mechanic ... wasted almost 2 hours of their time. I was pleased with outcome.
For what it's worth, we have been to FOT twice. And both times we paid the lesser of actual hours or the hours listed in the shop job book or whatever it's called.

Interesting, by far the biggest project I had done at FOT was the upgrade of the Aqua Hot to the new 600 Series, which required a large amount of work/time rewiring for the new control panel at sink counter, new wireing to panel under the bed, reqire both A/C units, Thermostat control etc. The end product is exactly like a new IH 45, Phenix or Nimbus that have the 600 Series. Very happy with the finished project. Took better part of 3 days, not cheap but feel it was worth it.
We have been going to Nac for service since we bought our '93 in 2007. The only people there who did not appreciate or speak enthusiastically about our older coach(es) was a certain person in the sales department ... who shall remain nameless. We have used FOT and MOT for service at various times because of appointment availability and have never had an issue with feeling "overcharged" regarding labor times. Jeff always goes over the bills with a fine tooth comb (because that is just how he is) and has found errors which were corrected promptly or negotiated to our satisfaction. Once, we found that we had been UNDER charged! Foretravel didn't believe us, and sent us down the road .... but called us about 100 miles later to ask us if we would be kind enough to pay for the labor hours they omitted from the bill. HA!! We did, of course, and we have been treated even more kindly by them. We appreciate the tutorials we get from the techs at both places ... we buy pizza or doughnuts for the shop when we are there ... and we will continue to go back because it is "ground zero" for what we need and rely on to keep the coach in great shape. Their labor rate is competitive with most of the country ... cheaper than many places!
