Title: New member and VMSpc
Post by: rwhoffmantx on September 04, 2015, 11:29:57 pm
Hello fellow Foretravelers! This is my first post and I would like to thank you all for your contributions, they are all so helpful and I look forward to contributing to continue to the "tribal knowledge" as I gain my experience.  Is it possible to post the profile files everyone is referencing?  I just received my VMSpc unit today and plugged it in and look forward to doing a little bit twisting and screen customization and will share.

Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Hey RW, welcome.  You can add a signature and something about your coach in your own profile. That helps others answer questions more toward your circumstances.  If you want ti know about who is posting click on their picture or name and it will take you to their profile.

VMSpc is an amazing tool.  There are lots of folks here with experience setting it up, customizing your screen, computer setups, remote displays.  If you can think of it some one has likely tried it.

Use the search function to hunt.  If you can't find it that way then ask away.  Questions about something specific will tend to get you more focused answers.

I am a dedicated VMSpc user.  It is pretty much all I look at.

I too use my VMS-PC for everything except my air pressure- front and rear.  Still look at the old dash gauges for that.
VMS-PC is a great tool- not only will you learn more about your coach, but you can learn to drive the coach for better fuel economy, hill climbing, etc.......

Enjoy it.

Welcome Mark- no such thing as stupid questions here.

Thanks Roger et al.  I've been off the grid with Nancy enjoying the Colorado fall foliage but have found the VMSpc really beneficial especially crossing Monarch Pass!  Monitoring the retarder temp versus just the trans temp helped a lot.

Roger - I've updated my profile but does not look like replies get updated.

After you chose your engine in Silverleaf there is s generic profile that you can modify.  Here is a link to what a couple of other members set up for themselves.  Everyone seems to do their own thing.
