Today, I am installing permanent RoadPro fans on each side of the front headboard on each side of the front TV. Got them mounted and wire ran to inside the TV box; now looking for some 12 volt power. Everything apprears to be 110. Any ideas? ::) Also notice LED tube lights in the front compartments. These have never been on. Where does that power come from? :-[ DAN
Dan, In our coach the remote control relay was wired into a 12V source. If yours is, you might be able to trace that to it's source.

Dan, if I remember correctly it was not to the eye, but to the relay box that the eye was wired to.
LEN: Tks for the help. Maybe found a source which goes to the light switch above the TV amp switch in the right compartment. This should be a 12 volt constant power and the wires are black and red and small. Doing on a lot of small projects today. Plan to install a 12 volt fan to move air out of the refrig compartment on outside of coach. Rewire my plug next to the passenger seat so it will not be in reverse. Appears I may have to replace the awning batteries as they are now about 3 years old and are not holding enough power to undo the awning arm. Electric motor on awning will not run long enough to get the awning all the way out. Air push works fine. DAN

You could get power from the panel in front of the passenger seat, run a wire big enough to power two fans across to the drivers side, find a place to mount two switches then run a wire from each switch up the left side windshield pillar to the fans.
Would be nice to be able to control both fans from the drivers seat!

Great Idea. Just have one wire to connect now (hopefully). Small area to work in and almost impossible to get two hands in there.

Dan, if your fans are anything like mine they draw a fair amount of power. A large wire will keep voltage drop to a minimum and fan limit speed variations with voltage.
In the panel in front of the Pass seat.
#29 is for the dash cigar lighter. 20 amp, red wire labeled 3.
#55 is for the Sat antenna, 10 amps, white wire labeled 263
and this one goes to the TV overhead area.
And there are three extra wires from the dash area to the TV overhead,
EX1 - 38492
EX2 - 38492
EX3 - 38492
You could come off the #29 with 10 ga wire to two dash switches then using the extra wires up to the fans and have control, well on/off anyway, from the dash. In the back of the User Manual there are wire lists and witing diagrams. Your 2002 might be different from my 2001.
I mounted my fans on a 4"x9" pieces of cherry with a built in weight and a cord coming out with a female power plug. A plug in the dash cigar lighter socket with wires going to male plugs powers the fans and lets me move them around where they do the most good. Nice in the summer when a breeze helps and very good in cold whether when the defroster needs some help.

Roger, you just tripped my trigger with the word cherry!! I just bought (4) rough sawn cherry planks for $1.67 each at an estate sale. Rough sawn size is 1"x6"x10' long and I was trying to figure out what to make with them. DW says I should have bought the (6) 1"x4"x10' rough sawn cherry boards also as they were only $0.67 each. As usual my brain wasn't working after only one cup of coffee!!
Now to wait for the weather to cool off!
Roger: Great idea would keep the moisture off the windshield when the heat is on. I will look for the wires you talked about and I currently have them wired to the light on the antenna amp. both work fine. Reversed the wires on the cit plug by the passenger seat and it now works properly. Decided to get a 110 fan for the outside refrigerator compartment to pull air out in the hot days. Now working on the big awning as it appears it needs new batteries. Why they are not hooked up direct I don't know to 12 volt power but on the 02 awning with the arms you have two small 12 volt batteries in the box. Tks for taking the time to give me this info.
Nitehawk, I always have quite a bit of wood in the shop. I just got 100 board ft of cherry, 200 bd ft of select birch, I have about 100 bd ft of 5/4 black walnut, about 500 bd ft of quarter sawn white oak left from an 1100 bd ft buy and much more left over from projects. One can never have too much wood or too many tools.
I was never very good with making anything with wood or metal but very good with solving manufacturing issues. I'm still looking for that tool that puts the wood back on the board so it looks like I never mangled it.
I added a sand bag affair under the fan/board arrangement.
GPS mount gave me the idea. pc
