Title: Napa 3231 Primary Fuel Filter Fitment
Post by: Don & Tys on September 13, 2015, 01:08:50 pm
There was a Napa Gold 3231 fuel & water separator in the spares box when we bought our coach. I have searched online to try and see if it is supposed to fit our ISC 8.3 Cummins, but no luck so far. I thought it was a spare for our coach, but when I changed the fuel filter awhile back, I took the Napa 3231 out of the box and noticed that it was a lot shorter than the RACOR R90P that was in there. I am tired of toting it around, but if it does fit, it might be worth keeping as part of a series of primary fuel filter change outs to get get her back on the road in the event of an algae infestation. Anybody know? I couldn't find any interchange charts that list the Napa Gold 3231 and the RACOR R90P as equivalent.
Thanks, Don

Thanks Doug. According to the WIX site, RACOR R90P crosses to a WIX 33231, and the Napa 3231 does as well. So even though of shorter stature and thus likely less capacity, the Napa Gold 3231 will be worth toting around. ^.^d

Yes, different length, but interchangeable per WIX 33231 interchange, NAPA 3231 & Wix 33231 are identical.

shorter, but would make a good spare if needed.

Don, when the basement is full you start in on the attic. Trouble is I haven't found the stairway yet.
