Title: MOT for residential refer install?
Post by: Carol & Scott on September 14, 2015, 11:09:52 am
Any one use MOT for the RV Residential refer. swap?  ;D

I have sent an email to Mr. Flanagan and will look forward to his response.  MOT says about 10 hrs.  Sounds considerably less than FOT.  We will be in the Houston area until Dec.

That would be Cutting Edge RV in Baytown, 281-383-1438.  I used them as well for ours, and was very happy with them.  They charged me 6 hours, and I had the new fridge delivered to them.  Rudy gave great advice.

This is our fridge; your job may be different, i.e. more hours required.

Chris

Thanks Chris - Glad to hear you were very happy with Cutting Edge.  Our experience was not so great.  No slam to Rudy.  We are very happy with Rudy and will continue to work with him.  We will not work with Lee again.

Oh, ok, sorry to hear that.  I think the old saying is "your mileage may vary".  ;D

Sounds like MOT would be the best bet for you, then.  All the best -

Chris

FOT did ours - 2003 that didn't have any Intellitec lighting to relocate (the space below the fridge was pull-out storage that we lost).  Looks like roughly 20 hours were charged plus a few small parts.

Had my 24 cf Samsung installed by Rudy's buddy, Lee @ Cutting Edge RV Svc, Exit 800 off I-10 at Baytown, Tel (281) 383-1438,  his charge was about $1,200, did a nice job, capable folks.  Only unknown goof was not making the block thinner so the frig door would clear the pocket door, missed it by about 1.5". Michelle's install fixed that issue.  Otherwise all is well.

I have used Lee over in Houston for my Aquahot with rudy too.  I have used both MOT and FOT for remodel.  If you have the intellect under the fridge, I would go to FOT. I had 18 hours in the billing for my fridge at FOT.  If you do not have it under there, I would go to MOT and they are much cheaper. I think either could do it though so where you go is kind of a tossup. I was at FOT this past week and David said he could fit me right in if I needed something done.  He is on vacation this week so you would talk to Rickey I think if you call over.  David is on a cruise with his wife.

I had FOT replace my refrigerator with a new residential fridge I purchased at Lowe's and had delivered to FOT. Billed for 8 hours and when I called to get an appointment for the work David told me no appointment needed just let him know a day in advance when I would be there. Went through the side window.
My install looks just like "bogeygolfer's" picture.

Very happy with the install and refrigerator and wish I had done this sooner.
