Title: problem with hydraulic leveler
Post by: jwmcd on September 17, 2015, 11:40:05 am
Hi folks. On my 1989 GV 3300 with hydraulic levelers, the right rear leveler will not go down. All the others work ok. The hydraulics seem ok. The foot will extend while horizonal, but does not swivel to vertical. Any advice for repair will be appreciated. The local camper shop is not familiar with these.

Thanks,
John

If you call HWH they can help. I had a similar problem, my system is the early computerized auto-leveling with 2 hydraulic hoses to it. It would extend and not retract, and would not kick down vertical. I might be your actuator. You can send it in for repair to HWH if you want to, they can analyze and repair it.
I ended up buying a replacement at nearly $800! But insurance money from accident paid for it. I installed it and it worked correctly immediately. I think the actuator(that kicks the jack down) is around $200.
good luck...... it is worth fixing and makes the coach much more pleasant and valuable for resale.

Will do. For some reason I thought the company was out of business. Glad to hear it is not. I will call Monday.

Thanks for the reply.
