Noticed that the rear air gauge is at 60 and the front is at 90. Called MOT and they are three weeks out on getting any additional coaches in for repair. All seems to operate correctly. Coach does not seem to be low in rear and aux compressor not coming on but about 5 minutes once a day. Any ideas????
Need more information. Is this with the engine running?
Engine is running and now stopped and leveled as normal. Gauge now dropped to 30 and aux pump has not came on. No drop in coach still level. Faulty what??
Dan,
Sounds like you have an air leak that is not on the HWH side of your air system. When coach engine is shut down the check valves separate the HWH from the rest of your air system. If the coach is staying level and your slide seals are inflated then the aux compressor has no need to come on. This leave something leaking on the coach/frame side of the air system like a regulator that feeds your step cover or the one that feeds the steps. Could be a piece of road trash flew up and cut a small spot in an air line. I would swing by a $ store and get the biggest bottle of kids bubble stuff and use that in a spray bottle to hunt for leaks.

Is the alarm still chirping? Are you sure it is from the air system and not something else triggering it to chirp?
With a full charge of air (120 psi) and spring brakes released the system should not lose more than 2 psi in one minute. Do not drive until you get the problem fixed.
Hi Dan,
You might suspect the dash gauge or a sender on the questionable tank. Try swapping the sender wires first and then gauge wires.

Tks for the replays. Checking it out.
OK This is just not my year to go places. Had to come back home from Roundtop antique and flea market (no San Antonio) due to a family medical Emergency. Will also have to cancel the six state rally. >:( The problem with the rear air gauge continues today drove to fill fuel and it never got above 30#. Tomorrow plan to make service appointment with MOT three weeks out. Currently have the level system on and it will hold at that spot for a few days and then will take to warehouse and watch her sink in the rear. Also my 360 tracstar dish is not working and the dash air has stopped again and I know where that leak is located as FOT guys just put in freon but indicated it would be too much trouble for them to fix the leak as they would have to climb in to get to the high limit valve. They acted as if they did not want to fix it so I told them just to leave it. I do like positive attitude service people. I got the impression that the new techs at FOT are trained in one area and learn others as they go. Guess you have to start somewhere but not on my coach please.
Dan, sorry you are having a run of problems.
Swapping the wires to the F/R gauges from the blue box will tell you if it is the gauge or the blue box.
To know for sure what is going on with the low tank (if it is) it to put a mechanical pressure gauge in the loop.
i have a check valve that is leaking on my front tank. They are always suspect.
Not sure on the 2002 but on my 2001 I can plug in a pressure gauge into the aux air port. That may be the wet tank. When both of my gauges quit at the same time this confirmed that I actually had pressure.
And you can find the annunciator (ding ding ding) and adjust the volume or disconnect it. At least on the 2001 you can.
Chin up. Good luck?
Blue box! That jogged my memory of the problem Dan Spoor had and posted about

Dan, when you shut the engine off with the pressure up near 120 psi, can you hear any air leaking when you walk around listening? Check the tank drain valve located in front of drivers side front tire.
If after sitting a couple days front tank has 90 or so and rear is 30 or so, maybe you could time how long it takes to completely drain each tank. If the rear drains down much faster, it would indicate the tank pressure was truly low and you probably have a leak somewhere.
In my case line 86 goes directly from the rear tank to the drain valve. With the air completely drained from the rear tank, you might be able to disconnect line 86 from the valve and temporarily connect it to a pressure gauge. Pressure up the tanks and watch it.
