Does anyone have an opinion regarding the "Good Sam" Extended service Plan?? Or, the "Tire & Wheel Shield" road hazard protection??
Brian.
We do not carry and extended service plan nor tire protection. We had Good Sam roadside service when we had our TT. They were pretty good but we now have Coach Net - better fit for us. Haven't had to use it yet. Fingers Crossed. :D
Same here as Scott and Carol. No extended service or tire coverage. Read the fine print and it looks like they exclude a lot of the normal problems. That said, catastrophic coverage has its place.
Coach Net seems quite good. Our Jeep died in the middle of Teddy Roosevelt National Park on a Saturday. It was about 100° out. The nearest tow was 45 miles away and they were there in and hour and twenty minutes and would have towed (flat bed truck) us to the nearest Jeep Dealer. i just had him takes us 20 miles to the camp ground and we towed it to Bozeman where it was fixed on Monday by noon. Coach net called three or four times to make sure we were OK and to see if the truck had arrived and then later to make sure all was well. I appreciated the attention to us and getting it done right.
Gee Roger , better there than 3 miles back in high up the sand dunes of St.Anthony . Glad all worked out in the end . Brad Metzger
Had good Sam extended service and in the beginning it was ok. Then 08 rolled around and they started denying everything. Cancelled my plan in 09. There are other plans out there that are better but older coaches usually don't qualify. I also had them for roadside assist and they failed so I moved that to CoachNet. They towed two of my cars no problem.
We had Good Sam extended on our previous coach. They replaced both roof air conditioners, the water heater, the step mechanism, and put in a rebuilt cooling unit on the fridge. That wa over ten years ago. Don't know how they are doing now. Probably trying to recover from our charges ^.^d
