Thank you Bill and Ricki. I have just finished my second day on the road driving this coach after completing the purchase. The coach is everything I hoped for and then some. Poncho my dog seems to like the extra room, our previous travels to Alaska and back were in an 8.5ft slide in truck camper. On my first day on the road I stopped at Hord's Creek Lake campground near Coleman Texas and settled into my camp spot right next to a 1999 U320 which was just preparing to leave after camping there a few days. Enjoyed sharing the site with numerous deer and continued on my way this morning. I plan to full time as long as I am able. Capt.SRP
Congrats on the new coach! So, going from a 8.5' camper to a 36' coach - that is about a 400% increase in space. It's no wonder Poncho is a happy dog! Only downside: he won't be able to hang his head out the window as you go down the road... Hope the new ride is everything you want and need. Post photos of the coach and your travels when able - we LOVE photos!
Hi Capt SRP. Welcome to the community of owners. We also have a 36' and at first compared to our previous RV it seemed huge. Experience and practice and it will seem normal. Short drives and long stays. Safe travels to you and the Pancho.
You can add some coach info to your signature (modify your profile) then folks will have a better idea of what you are driving. And as you did in your thread title, being specific helps too. Thanks!

CONGRADS ON THE NEW COACH,THE FOLKS ON THE FORUM ARE WONDERFUL, AND ARE ALWAYS READY TO HELP.
WELCOME ABOARD!! AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE COACH.BOB
Thanks for the greetings. I am slowly working my way west from Texas. I have completed over 1000 miles so far with no issues. I am currently in Arizona and will be leaving for Nevada tomorrow. I full time mainly traveling between family and friend locations. I am really happy with the coach and hope to see other Foretravelers on the road.
Keep your eyes out for Triple555 if you are going to be on 10. He is traveling east on 10, driving a '89 GV.
Enjoy Capt.
Welcome! Sorry I missed your posts, we're just down the road in Ajo. Feel free to ask any questions about the road west. M
Sounds as if you are already enjoying your "new" Foretravel. Hope you have many, many more good years ahead!
We made the same transition from a truck camper but bought a class C in between our FT. Loved my truck camper and the versatility it gave us. Buy a 4wd pick up and you have quite a set up. From driving on the beach to 4 wheeling in the woods. Good memories. Enjoy your Foretravel.
Enjoy the journey, and the huge increase in space. We know our dog was way happier too, in the coach than the back seat of the truck.
Welcome Capt.
You've landed in a great place with excellent choice of MH and an amazing group for support. The forum makes your Foretravel just that much better.
Safe travels
Hi Stan,
Found your posting after getting home. The Foreforum is the most amazing group of people I have ever found. Their warm welcome is only the beginning of your enjoyable association and assistance on so many subjects.
Have a great adventure and keep The Poncho close to your side. He is a good friend inspite of stepping on the wrong buttons ;D .
Safe travels to you,
Bill and Ricki
The journey continues. After 10 days in Las Vegas I arrived in Lake Havasu City Arizona today. approaching 1 month and 2K miles since the purchase and all is well. I really like the floor plan and the Allison retarder is real nice, thinking of adding the joystick. Will be moving on to California next week to visit family. Noticed a 1998 40ft U295 for sale here in Lake Havasu city. Info and pictures can be found on Craigslist Mohave co. Arizona. Thinking of going to Quartzsite in January, will there be a Foretravel gathering. Safe travels to all.
