Title: Leak @ Rear AC
Post by: RainCatcher on November 15, 2015, 12:07:58 am
I have a small leak @ the rear AC and I can't figure out how to remove the rear screw covers. Any suggestions? :help:  See the photo.

You pop out the plastic covers the round ones your pic points too. I use a thin small flat blade.

Thanks John. I timidly tried but was afraid of damaging something and didn't pursue it.

Yeah it requires a good bit of force.  Try to use a plastic edge like an old credit card.  It might help prevent the gouging.

It is wise to be cautious when handling any plastic item inside these old coaches.  A tiny bit too much force can easily crack or shatter a hard-to-replace part.  As the plastic gets older, it tends to get very brittle.  Good example is the removable covers on many of the lights.  You may have to GENTLY squeeze the cover (lens) to release it from the light fixture, but squeeze too hard and it cracks.  :'(  (Don't ask...)
