Coming home last week, this bolt on the wiper fell out.
Tried two hardware stores, fastenal store, Google and Barry's site, can't find it.
I could use a regular bolt but I'd rather do it right. We're going to the coast tomorrow so I will use a regular bolt for the weekend.
Hope the picture tells the story.
You need a locknut. Whatever size that is 1/4-20
Or 5/16-18 it may be metric. I can't tell by the pic.put a new nut on it and tighten it down.looks like everything pivots on the other side. No biggie maby.49cents
Stump
The one in the picture is the curb side of the coach, for illustration purposes. The BOLT and NUT that I'm missing is on the drivers side wiper motor. Bolt has two flat sides to fit through a rectangle hole. So that the bolt doesn't turn when the nut is tightened.
Your right though, it's a little thing.
It would appear that the bolt is a proprietary item (made by the wiper company or for them) but should be possible to "Rube Goldberg" a bolt yourself if you have a grinder, be it a 4-1/2"angle grinder or bench grinder and a Vernier calipers for measuring.
I would use a stainless steel bolt and a "Nylock" locking nut. Get the bolt & nut from Fastenal (they most likely won't even charge you for the parts, seeing as how the paperwork would cost more than the sale.
