Title: Grand Villa owner's manual
Post by: Gary Omel (RIP) on November 26, 2015, 12:37:06 pm
I have a factory owner's manual for ' what I believe to be , a 1988 Grand Villa.  It is for VIN # 1F97D440XPN054524.  Model # G93418340WTBIU300WE11.  If the owner of this coach is a member of the forum, or knows of the present owner, I would like to send this to them. It has the standard coach system info but also has the wiring diagrams that would be helpful to the owner.
If there is no response from the owner, I will send it to anyone who wants it. I don't need it and will dispose of it if it goes unwanted.
 Thank you.

If no one wants it, I would like it much better than disposing it.

Those things are gold! Never should be trashed, ever.  :o

Might check with the factory - make sure they have that one in their database.  If not, donate it to them to scan?

Or get it to someone on the Forum who can scan it to a pdf format and upload it to the Forum document libraray or Barry Beam's site.

what I believe to be , a 1988 Grand Villa.
Based on the Model #, it is a 1993 40' U300, WTBI floorplan, and a DD 6V92 engine. The build number 4183

I'm sure any of the 93 U300 40' types would like it.

I'll have to check my old records when I get to the office but that may be the "missing" owners manual for the unit we bought from your old MOS neighbor Gary. As you know we've since sold it to a guy in Oregon who may or may not still have it.  But the specs mentioned above would match our old '93

Gary,
I have a 93 u300 build no. 4271 and would like to compare my schematics to the one one you have to see if they are the same.  I have a print shop and have reproduced copies of the schematics and some of the other user manuals for Barry, Pierce, and Bill Chaplin.  I'd be happy to pay the shipping costs.

Thanks,

Jerry

Jerry has done a great job of sending out manuals, etc. I have the HWH repair manual in PDF format as well as the electrical schematics for a 1993 U300/280. Glad to forward to anyone. Jerry also did a great job reproducing the very hard to find Pro-Link 9000 DDEC (Detroit) manual. Essential for those with the Pro-Link.

Thanks Pierce,

Bill Chaplin was looking for a wiring diagram for the dash A/C on his U300 a while back.  Probably very hard to come by.

OK,,, Time for an update.  If I did this right, the attached photo is of the front page showing an 88 with vertical headlights on an Oshkosh chassis. Katie and I used to own one like this,( the best one we ever had ) so that is why I thought it came out of an 88 ORED. I should have realized that the model number did not match the picture.  Most of the manual is pretty generic and covers Oshkosh belt, hose, and filter for all the older coaches. There is no unihome info and no belt , hose or filter info for the 6V92.  Here is a list of the drawings in the back.
  A- 3371  4000 GVF URED SBD-SBID  Dated 6/26/89
A-2700.07  110V ELECT RELAY SYSTEM WIRING Dated 5/20/92
  A-2700.03  G-4183  110 V ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM U 300  Dated 5/19/92  ( Sheets 1&2 )
  A-2701.01 AUDIT SYSTEMS MONITOR-760 & 1150 Dated 01/09//92
  A-2702.28 12 V ELECTRICAL for G-4183 WTBI U 300W E11
A-3440  URED AUTO WIRING DIAGRAM FUSE BLOCKS.
  A-3375 URED 6V92 DDEC 2 INTERFACE DIAGRAM Dated 05/14/92
A-3376 URED 6V92 ATEC INTERFACE DIAGRAM Dated 02/12/92
  B-2035 U 300 12 V WIRING DIAGRAM Dated 05/29/92
  B-2126 G-4183 U 280 / U 300 AUTO WIRING DIAGRAM that replaces A-3440
The manual probably was in a 93 Unihome that I sold to John Bleakly at Douglasville, Ga. I believe they sold the coach to someone from Maine or New Hampshire.  Red tractor asked first and will have it next week. However,,,if the owner (s) of G-4183 is found and wants the book, Red Tractor will give it to them.
I am cleaning out unneeded "stuff" ( and memories ) from fifteen years of living on the road ( on & off ),  and I should have taken the time to be more specific. Maybe this new info helps.
If any of the pages are helpful, let me know right away and I will copy and send them to you.

Gary,

I have digitized in PDF format for emailing, B-2126 (replaces A-3440), A-2700.07, B-2031, A-2700.03, A-2700.01, A-2702.31, A-3287, A-3375, A-3376, B-2035, B-2126, Test Info.

I don't have A-3371 and A-2702.28

Attached is a downloadable PDF of the the HWH Repair Manual Complete. Mac users, open with your app, Preview. I have compressed the file to about 20% of original but Preview should make it the original size on the screen. PC users will have a Windows app for this. The HWH manual should apply to other models as well as the U300.

If you have large PDF files to email, try Smallpdf.com - A Free Solution to all your PDF Problems (http://smallpdf.com/) for about 80% reduction but still good reading quality. They also have a Chrome plug-in.

The supplied information from Foretravel for the oil filter, fuel filter, coolant filter, all belts for the 6V-92TA, is either outdated or incorrect.
