Title: Headlight Removal
Post by: mikeshort09 on December 09, 2015, 05:55:33 pm
Does anyone know how to remove the headlights on an '02 320. I can get projection xenons for $250.00. Sure beats the $3K foretravel conversion

I replaced our bulbs with:  Amazon.com: SYLVANIA 9006 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight... (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000M5Y720?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00)

They seem to work ok for us.  Barry Beam was looking into replacing the entire light housing.  Do not know what happened.  Have you tried "search"?

FT did some interesting things to get the housings mounted.

Mike there should be a couple of pins on the top of the assembly.

I know they are suburban lights, but appear to be mounted on a custom aluminum frame. I couldnt locate the pins on the top. of course i had to search using my fingers, cant see the top.

Yep.  Same on mine.  FT modified the mountings so the video may be applicable to trucks but not for our coaches.  :(

I think the aluminum frames need to be removed. Not exactly the best design. Barry said he had it done and it took a few hours. Should be fun!
