Title: oxygenics shower
Post by: stump on December 29, 2015, 09:02:09 am
I bought a oxygenics 5 spray pattern hand held shower yesterday. There is no water cut off on it.Seems like a waste of water if boondocking. It looks like they make a rv one also,it looks like it has a shutoff on it. Which model do you people use?
I'm taking this one back.

Go to the Oxygenics website.  They have many models.  This is the one we use:

Oxygenics 27267 SkinCare 1-Spray Showerhead with Comfort Control

Go to box or hardware store and get a chrome plated plastic ball valve and inset between shower wand and hose.  Can vary from full on to full off.  Has worked for me for years.

Shower water line cut-off valves also are available from EBay and Amazon.

The Oxygenics head I referenced has a control valve built in.  It sharply curtails water flow but isn't a complete shutoff.

Gee ... I just use the valve that is already in the shower! Turn it on ... turn it off ... turn it on. All I need to do it pull and push!  It is easier to find when my face is full of soapsuds than some little thing.

Exactly.  Having an on-the-wand shutoff makes sense if you have two knobs to get just right, no so much with a push-pull control having a separate temperature dial.
