Title: Another Step Well Cover Question
Post by: cynjac on January 14, 2016, 12:06:58 am
I had an air leak on the regulator for the step well and had to replace the regulator.

After installing the new Husky regulator, I could not set the pressure on the regulator as it bled pressure form the air system and then build back up until the cut off point for the d2 governor. I reviewed what I had done and figured out I put the regulator on backwards (air going in the discharge side). So, I turned the regulator around the way it should be but I am still getting the same issue.

What pressure should this regulator be set at and more importantly, would this incorrect installation damage the regulator?

Mine is set at 60lbs. Doubt if it damadged the valve.

I couldn't figure out why it would fluctuate as the compressor (engine) builds pressure up to 120 psi and then bleed it down to cut on the compressor.

Basically I guess I just can't get it to set at 60 psi.

Sounds like it may be faulty.  Take it back and put a new one on I think?
