While crawling around under the coach today I noticed a small fluid leak. My best guess is that it is coolant and that it is coming from what I think must be the water pump. I searched the Forum history and could not find coolant pumps addressed before.
I will probably take the coach to the local Cummins shop but I always like to have a pretty good idea what exactly is going on and what some of the solutions are before I take it in.
I apologize that the attached photo does not show much. It was taken looking vertically up. What I am looking at is located immediately below the exhaust manifold. It consists of a casting that has what seem to be coolant hoses connected to it and a long cylinder (12" to 14" long and 2 to 3 inches diameter) extending forward.
My questions: Is this, in fact, the water pump? Is it likely an adjustment, a rebuild or a replacement situation? And finally, is this a normal wear item?

It happens, Cummins will have a rebuilt pump or a new pump, there is no adjustments other than loose hose clamps.

After putting your picture on a big screen you may have a "O" ring leaking on your oil cooler rather than a water pump seal leak. IIRC they are 14mm x 2mm Metric "O" rings. (you have to replace both as they are a pain to get to)
Can you see any antifreeze coming out of the weep hole on the water pump? What you show isn't the weep hole on the water pump but looks like the oil cooler connection.
Make sure that you don't have a hose clamp leaking.

It will take Cummins a few hours to change it out. You might change your thermostat at the same time. I had to replace mine a couple years ago.
