I have been working away from home (Leakey, TX) and living in my 94 GV for the last couple of months. I seem to have a very slight gas leak. I have used soapy water and found nothing. There seems to be a very slight smell coming from the water heater and both furnaces. Has any one seen these valves go bad and start leaking? I am not even sure if new valves are available?
Karl there is thread about propane leaks if you do a search it might be helpful. I do believe all the parts are available if needed.Good luck.
After reading all of the posts that I could find on the forum I was no closer to finding my problem. So...I bit the bullet purchased an electronic gas leak detector.
Amprobe GSD600 Gas Leak Detector: Carbon Monoxide Detectors: Amazon.com:... (http://www.amazon.com/Amprobe-GSD600-Gas-Leak-Detector/dp/B0029XL3YS)
It worked perfectly! I confirmed that the valves to both furnaces as well as the water heater are all leaking through the valve. Gas is now turned off and awaiting arrival of 3 new valves.
Nice work. It's always nice to find the answer to the problem ^.^d
