A couple of weeks ago I asked for the tips on removing old graphics. Well after 4 days of steady work, they are gone. I used a wagner 705 steamer with some attachments that covered the graphic with hot steam and it allowed me to pull it off in one piece. It was a very slow process. I tried heat but it wasn't as good as steam. Then I had the glue problem. The citrus products did not work as good as xolene. I also used plastic razor blades. As many have stated not the easiest thing to remove but if you stay with it, you can do it. Also as some of you have done I only remove the wide graphics on the lower part of the coach leaving the three single strips. In my opinion it makes the coach newer. I'll try an post some pictures but I never have done it before. Many thanks to all of you who gave me suggestions, they were a big help. IMG_0377motorhome.jpg (111.IMG_0363 motorhome 1.JPG (94.81 KB)
The previous owners of our coach removed the same lower vinyl as did you. We agree that it makes the coach look much better. We are also thankful that
they are the ones who took care of the removal!
Agreed looks better!!! Nice job
Major improvement! Just added another item to my "To Do" list.
I stripped mine down almost naked. Left a few stripes.
I have a almost full set of decals I may sell if interested.
I used the rubber eraser wheel, worked very good. Took about 4 wheels to do almost the entire coach.
Thanks everyone the remaining graphics still have there shiny color but again the colors are out of date. I spoke to a person it Tampa who applies new graphics. I may at a later date apply new graphics using the same pattern with fresh new bright colors. He told me that if the existing are still in good condition he would apply directly over the existing matching the pattern which would save cost and he said they would look great. We shall see.
