Title: Shower Slide Knob
Post by: KenKetch on February 28, 2016, 12:37:24 am
Today the shower slide knob fell off and cracked. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement clear plastic knob for the Elements of Design DK180A1 Classic Bar Handheld Shower Holder? I am not finding a source for the knob by searching?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Elements of Design bar is available new in several finishes.  I could only loosen, but never remove the clear plastic knob.  How does it come off?

Maybe the manufacturer or a seller can offer assistance on just the knob.

We have replaced ours in gold and now chrome which is holding up better than the gold/brass finish.

Website says it has a 10 year warranty.

Every vendor I could find on the web shows the brass version of the bar as unavailable.  The part is made by Elements of Design and is a DK180A1 Classic Bar Handheld Shower Holder
I don't know how you can remove the knob, as mine just fell out onto the floor of the shower and cracked.

What web site are you referring to that shows the warranty as 10 years. Of course it does not apply to me as I have a 2000 U320.

Cheers,

Ken, I have the vertical bar and sliding holder that I took out of our coach.  Ours is a 2001 so it is likely similar.  Do you have a picture?  If it what you need I will send it to.

Roger, what a generous offer. The only thing that I really need is the clear plastic knob, however there might be big trick to how to install it into the brass fitting.  I still need to learn how to post pictures to the forum.
You can see the part at this URL - Elements of Design DK180A2 24" Classic Wall Bar with Pin, Polished Brass at... (http://www.plumbersurplus.com/Prod/Elements-of-Design-DK180A2-24-Classic-Wall-Bar-with-Pin-Polished-Brass/19483/Cat/873?gclid=CPu7rOL9j70CFYhaMgodSiIA-g)
