I refer to it as the "haygarth spoiler" for lack of another term. It is the aluminium roof water deflector that is placed just over the air intake and back up camera. Alfredo painted it to match one of the motorhome colours and installed it. Great. Ready to tackle the Pacific Northwest rains after 6 months of virtually no rain here in Mexico. Alfredo is also touching up a number of dings from lawn mowers, weed whackers and a strange 5 inch circle in the middle of the slide, very strange, seems it originated from the inside.
While I do not post often I should include a "Wolfe 25 cent item". I refer to his comments about a hose washer leaking. On the other side I found the fresh water tank overflow leaking. Nice hose, good clamp, plastic thru wall fitting; but all sealed up with silicone. Of course the silicon eventually allowed water to flow into the wall where the plastic fitting meets the steel wall. Not a good situation at all. Why oh why does anyone use silicone to seal anything? Tom
Tom - I've been telling folks for years that silicone does not stop water. Discovered this around bath tubs. Is there a silicone caulking now days that WILL work? Something that also acts as a glue?
