Hey Foretravel Consultants Extraordinaire...
I have chased air and found two very likely culprits in cracked fittings. Time to dump air and replace. But, a forum search and a quick review of my HWH manual off leaves me still wondering the best way to keep my auxiliary compressor from firing up when I dump the air. I have tried the "stop" button on the screen but that doesn't do the trick. Father in law suggested bare handled wire cutters at the compressor. I thought I was nicer than that...
Advice appreciated.
The compressor 12V supply should be fused, probably on the 12V wiring panel. If you can find the fuse, temporarily pulling this would be a good way to disconnect it.
NOT familier with the Nimbus, but "logic" says it should not be that hard. On the older coaches (like mine), the aux pump will not operate when the HWH panel is "OFF". But it sounds like you have already tried that obvious tactic. How about tripping the appropriate circuit breaker (or pulling the fuse)? I think I've seen photos of some newer coaches that have a dedicated "ON-OFF" switch right next to the compressor. Have you looked there?
That's all I've got. (DANG IT! Peter beat me by 109.5 seconds)
Battery disconnect off. Chassis batteries disconnected. Still runs but did find an inline fuse under the compressor. Did the trick.
Thank you both.
