Title: Bose parts wanted
Post by: Gary Omel (RIP) on March 25, 2016, 09:41:25 am
I am making this request for a good friend of mine ,that bought "Moose", George & Sandy Stoltz's 2000 320. His Bose control box is not working and we are looking for a control head ,or any complete system that may have been replaced by a newer system. Bose no longer supports or repairs these older units so our only other source is working take out systems that were replaced during upgrades. He does not want to upgrade ,mainly because of their large CD collection, but would like to make the old system work again if anyone still has any Bose system or parts.

Hi Gary,

I used this guy to repair my Bose remote a few years ago when it it failed to communicate with the receiver unit. Maybe he can help your friend:

Repair Service Bose LS Lifestyle 50 M1 Multi Interface P1 Remote No Response... (http://www.ebay.com/itm/201439285308)

email him at:

http://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?FindAnswers&requested=dr_bose_boo_boo_fixer&_trksid=p2050430.m2531.l4583&rt=nc

He has a phone number but I can't  find it now.

Hi Jim,  The attached shows what I've been loading all morning. Just got rain out by a heavy thunder storm so thought I would check this while I dry out. This load is about half of my winter work here in Fl. They are total rebuilds and are sold  to a lawn mower shop in Tn. I'll be leaving here late tonight. I normally pull this trailer with the coach. That poor Chevy will be glad to see the "barn" in Tn.

Thanks for the heads up on the repair sites. I never thought about after market repairs. I will start calling them early next week.

Gary,

What in the hell are you doing with all those mowers? Or are you like me and have a new occupation? Incidentally, I've had a great year with my"little hobby" and the first two months this year have been really good. So I'm happy with what I do.

Tell, me more  about the mowers. It's been 85 and 90 here in southern TX but by the 15th. of April we'll return to NE. Guess there was 12"  of snow in CO and Sioux City just recently. Sure hope it is out of it's system  by the 15th.

Gary,
I had my Bose control box repaired last fall by Norbern Electronics, a small company ( a man and his wife) here in Colorado Springs that specializes in repairing Bose systems. I'm sure he could help out your friend. Here is his website- Bose Repair Service (http://myboserepair.com).

Yes Jim,  It is my winter "hobby" to repair higher quality lawn equipment. Two of these mowers were days away from the crusher at the salvage yard where  I bought them by the pound for old iron.

Yes Bill,  come to Tn. this spring and we will have some races.

I am now at the "barn" in Tn. and the mowers have all been delivered. Next week I will return to Fl. and start my research for Bose repair.  Thank all of you for several excellent good leads that I never knew about .
