Went over to my coach today to install the new aquapure water filter cartridge. I decided to exercise the aqua-hot, Gen-set, And roof AC. After running the AQ I shut it down & pulled shore power. Started the gen-set and changed mode to cool and then nothing. No matter the mode the only thing that would run was the fan on the bedroom floor under the TV. (AQ circuit?) So perhaps the thermostat is suspect.
At the same time I also noticed that I no longer had lights at the co-pilots map light, or under the forward pass side cabinets and lounge table lamp.
I'm sure the two things are unrelated though. All circuit breakers were fine and the thermostat has power. Any clues as to where the fuse is for the particular light circuit would be much appreciated as well as any info about the AC/Thermostat.
Thanks in advance
Jerry
The fuses are at the foot of the bed and both zones have to be set to ac
Thing is that I just had the AC running a few days ago. Nothing changed. I'll try again on Thursday with manual in hand. But since I have owned the coach I have only seen zone 1 displayed on the thermostat and both roof unit will turn on when set to cool.
All zones have to be set to furnace or ac can not have one on furnace and the other on ac
If OEM.
If you've upgraded the roof units and thermostat as we have to CCC2 you can have the zones set to separate modes and they will work as you have them set. One of the great things about the new Dometic CCC2.
Just to clarify, I have the 4 button CC t-stat. When I push the mode button the mode does change on the display. So the t-stat "looks" and "acts" like it always has. It's as if the signal is not going to the units as requested & the system is stuck on AQ furnace mode even when I change it to cool or heat strip or even circulation mode. The A/C circuit breaker did not trip.
As I said. The t-stat has always only indicated zone 1 and both A/C units have always came on when I select "cool" or "heat strip" via the t-stat. So from my prospective everything looks identical to how it's always looked and it worked fine just a few days ago. So I wonder if the output of the t-stat may have failed as the buttons are working as they should.
I will check on the conflicting zone thing in the AM to try and rule that out.
Try this , remove the filter grills, unplug and replug all the phone type connectors and see if this helps.
Went to the coach this morning and did a t-stat reset. Bingo! That did the trick.
Also, It's strange how one sometimes learns when they weren't trying to learn. Since buying the coach anytime I turned on the heat strip or the A/C while zone one was indicated, Both units would come on. Thus making me think that the coach only had one zone.
After the reset I set zone one to heat strip and only the front unit came on. After figuring out how to change zones I found that zone two was reset and was on "no mode" So now the coach climate control is working as it should.
Biugdog, I too have the 4 button one and I may be wrong but I have not seen you mention using the top 2 buttons (at same time) to change the zones from 1 to 2 or vice versa.
I do not have AH so maybe things are a bit different, but try this anyway and see if zone 2 comes up so you can change it.???
