DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHERE MY S/O AIR TANK MIGHT BE LOCATED ?
THANK'S
ROB
Just sent you a PM. :D
After raising up the coach and installing safety blocks and wheel chocks, you will see it underneath in the front end, in front of and maybe a bit higher as I recall, the bigger brake service air tank. Your 2002 may be a bit different from our 2001.
Just spoke with OP. He is looking for the 4th air tank fed by the aux comp shown on his schematic that appears to be between the aux comp and the air tank Roger referenced. I don't see it in my bay but..........
Any one with at 4th air tank and if so where is it? His drawing also shows a pit-cock drain valve??
Wet tank - rear end,
front and rear service tanks - front end,
Air bladder tank - front end
Is there another one in the 2002?
Maybe there is a small tank for the famous turbo turd 3000?
Schematic attached. I see four tanks.
All three front tanks have drain valves near the left front tire. Trace the drain lines back to the tanks. The big service tanks are obvious.
First pic looking towards rear. Two service tanks. Second pic is slide bladder tank in front of front service tank. Almost on the back of the gen box
Thank you Roger and Scott that takes the mystery away , I have attached a photo of the schematic showing that little tank.
One of these first days I will add plumbing from these three tanks up front to an easy to access point to drain them.
Safety first if you are getting under your coach to work on these.
I am 99% sure that we do not have the S/O Seal Air Tank as shown in the drawing.
Note: I have been wrong before. :D
Scott, the slide bladder tank is smaller in diameter than the service tanks and is located between the forward service tank and the back side of the generator box. You can look in from the driver's side wheel well and see it. Look in front of the wheel looking forward towards the center of the back side of the generator box. It should be there. It is on my 2001.
If you do have the third front tank, as Scott wrote, I too thought someone before said it may be different on an 02 than an 01, I urge too you move the bleed valves for the front tanks to the fender rather than crawling under the coach, thus you will do routine checks. (Heard a report just today in private conversation with owner who has not been able to easily check and found moisture when did)
I think adding an air pressure gauge to that third tank, if you have one, is very helpful.
So where did it go?
I am quite sure we have an air manifold that has #75, 76 and 78 as output air lines from the aux comp. I have "capped " line #78 and feed the Auto Awning with a separate air compressor that develops the required PSI for the Zip Dee to operate. ??
