Hello can anyone help me, I need to do a compression test on my Detroit 8.2lr turbo, I'm trying to locate a compression tester for it, would anyone know of anywhere I could aquire one
Most big name auto parts stores (AutoZone, O'Reilly's, Carquest) will loan you test tools. Check with them and see what they recommend for your desired testing, and if they can supply that device.

Since the DD 8.2L turbocharged V* has been discontinued since 1995 you might be wasting time going to places that most likely do not even list that engine.
Might I suggest you contact the mechanic that worked on my 8.2L this last January?
He could probably provide a great deal of enlightenment seeing as how he works on these DD 8.2L a lot.
