Title: Speedometer success
Post by: fkjohns6083 on May 02, 2016, 10:45:10 pm
After many, many, many phone calls I finally had success in locating some one that could get me on the right track to trouble shoot my in-operable speedometer.  If you are have a speedometer problem, give Steve a call @ Portland speedo service, 1-800-634-2145.  You can also e-mail him @ speedoserv@aol.com.  He gave me the electrical info that I needed to trouble shoot which resulted in my finding that the "mini-gen" on the xmition was defective.  He sold me a new mini-gen for half the price of other suppliers, and I got it a couple of days later.  Every thing worked out very well and my speedo is once again operational.  I highly recommend Portland speedo service.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

Fritz, do you have 2 generators  one for the speedo and the other for speed control? My problem is where to get the "T" fitting that they both mount to.

Fritz, thanks for the link to Portland Speedo as the digital mileage part on mine is starting to break up, so I have emailed him for some info and maybe a new one if needed.

NancyS  ----  I have only one generator , but it is connected into the Xmition thru some fitting that looks like it could be for another sender.  I don't use speed control and I'm not sure mine even works.  I never looked closely at it, but I don't remember any wiring coming from that fitting.  Hope you find what you need.  ----  Fritz
