Title: Steering column u-joint
Post by: mark f on May 08, 2016, 02:21:42 pm
Is there a grease fitting on the u-joint in the upper steering column? This is by the tilt mechanism. I'm trying to track down a squeak when I'm turning. Thanks, Mark

Mark,

Ours has 3,  one above the floor and 2 below.  To get to the one above the floor you have to remove the plastic cover and move the wire loom around to get to it.  If you have to grease this one go very sparing with the grease as too much will get all over everything in the steering column.  I have found that the upper never needing much if any as it is in a protected area and not really moved that much.

Here is a link to another thread with a couple of pics of there location.  Chassis Lube Points (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=26706.msg215684#msg215684)    Yours may be a little  different having a 95 but this should be close to what you have.
