Title: Need help, 12 volt out
Post by: ohsonew on May 09, 2016, 06:26:01 pm
I need the collective help from the forum. I have lost what appears to be all interior power. No lights, exhaust fans, radio, etc. I am plugged in and the 120 is working fine. I had the cover off one of the flourescent ceiling fixtures trying to see why it had never worked, possibly ballast, was just looking. I didn't touch anything but remove the bulb and the cover for the ballast. When I replaced, the wife noticed no bathroom lights.

What am I looking for, and where? I didn't find any 12 volt fuses bad in the bed frame.

Thanks in advance,
Larry Warren

Larry - check to see that no one accidentally hit the big 12V shut off (salesman's switch) by the entry door.  That's the first thing to check when all 12V house is affected.

Thanks Michelle, I was typing when you were replying. I went into panic mode first, brain start second :))

Once again, hurray for this forum and its members.

Larry - no, you were smart since you asked rather than sitting there in the dark silence  ;)

We've all been there at least once.  How else do we learn?

And it looks like your sleeping inside, not in the dog house.

We had left the coach for service, arrive 7 hours down the road late at night, after a full day's work in Arlington.  Someone had switched off our switch and no amount of prayer could make it work.  I finally found the relay to reset, in the basement the next day, and reset the inside coach switch.

You know we only have the under microwave counter top 120 volt light inside the entire coach.

Dave and Michelle, yep, I get to sleep insinde tonight. Good things with storms in the area :D  When everything went out at once, I thought there was a relay or breaker somewhere in the line, but sure didn't have a clue where. I had just gotten my multi meter out to see if I was getting power to the fuse box when the light went on.

Thanks again,

Larry
