Title: Aqua Hot Exhaust Time After Off
Post by: Michael & Jackie on May 10, 2016, 09:49:54 am
Re prior pòst, "Listen to Your Aqua Hot". It may help you reader to refer to that.  I started to add to that but auto notice from Forum saud consider new topic.

So, this should be part of a Questions to Rudy thread....

Rudy (or others)..... How long after you turn off diesel switch should it be before the AH responds and how long before it totally quits exhausting?

(Noted on last trip exhaust ran longer than I recalled typicsl but did not do the pulsing as with the diode failure)

Thanks again, Rudy

I believe there is a 2 to 3 minute purge time. Of course Rudy will know.

The silver control box on burner is the controller that times the burner , When you turn it on it is in purge mode aprox 20 seconds to purge and fumes in chamber, after it is at temp control thermostat shuts off the flame and the blower runs for aprox 3 minutes for cool down cycle, That control box is older technology and it may not be exact time, If it only runs for a min on cool down box is failing

Thanks.....ran more than minute, but going to time it.  Very good to know.  Think will see if Rudy has time, thinks he needs to update any parts of our AH.

What about it Rudy, things we need you to change on our 01?

Michael,

The purge cycle should start immediately (a continuation of the blower and the burner together) and runs about 2-3 minutes before shutting off. That cools the system and purges any fuel vapors for the next heating cycle. An intermittent purge cycle, no purge cycle or one that runs forever is the fault of the controller box.

These controllers are repairable for a lot less money than a new one. 308-440-5154
