The is a "newbie question": Can anyone tell me what the ground clearance (when underway and when parked) of the 2000 model year is? What needs to be done to slide under it with a creeper? I'm guessing that the HWH system can be raised to its max. height, but does it need to be blocked? I'd hate to have a failure of the air system while under it. :P Thanks
you will need safety blocks about 11" long that will sit on rect' box section inside of air bag location. 4 for each end, Use steel or something that will hold the weight needed for safety. Before this in place it is about 8" on level ground then will go to about 14" or so. I never measure it as I do not crawl under except on road, or better yet take a panel off for really easy access.

Sven, use the search function and type in " working safely under your coach". Lots of info.
I regularly check under the coach and do my own maintenance. I grease the zerks before every trip and change the oil, visually check the brake pads (or slide pins), drain the water separator and air tanks, etc. Also want to know if anything is "awry" before it becomes an issue. These are old habits and I'm too insecure to change. Great info on the blocks; I think I know where they go. Thanks.
I did as you suggested, John, and found it to be helpful, especially the photo of the metal tubing in its place. I think my question has been answered.
Thanks.
Not bad "habits", most of us are like that. Throw your coach info to the bottom sig area, that's a big help if you've got any questions or comments, that way we know the coach!
We don't yet have the coach; we hope to get out to Iowa to make the purchase in the next ten days (we've made a deposit). It is a 2000 U320 mid entry.
Hope you enjoy your mid entry as much as we have these last 5 years, first our 225, and now our 98, 295.
