Title: Fog light switch (2002 year coach)
Post by: Dan Stansel on June 06, 2016, 08:34:42 am
Where O Where are you? Looked for the switch but no locate for the fog lights.  Pushed every switch on the smart wheel but not so smart after all. Never used the fog lights so can someone tell me on my O2 where this switch is? Can not get them on?

Going from memory, look by the retarder joystick. I think it's labeled AUX. They only come on with the low beams.

Tom:  Really.  Will try that when I am back at the coach.  What are the light buttons on the smart wheel for?

The two light switches on the smart wheel are courtesy flashes. The one on the left flashes your headlights and the one on the right flashes your clearance lights.

And tail lights.

I've used the one on the left, hopefully headlights, to let the passing vehicle know they are clear.  The one on the right, hopefully tail lights, as a thank you if flashed that I'm clear after a pass.  As far as fog lights...way to cowardly to drive in fog.

Actually a commercial flash of all the clearance lights as a thank you

the one on the right flashes your clearance lights.

Does it actually flash them, as in causing them to blink?

Does it cause them to toggle on or off, depending on their starting state?

Is it a momentary change of state, or does it stay in the new state while you push the button?

It is really hard to tell from behind the steering wheel  ;D

Thanks,

Trent

It is a momentary switch that turns them on if they are off and off if they are on, same as the button on the left does with headlights

Okay, it is like a toggle; it does not matter how long you press the button, right?

Thanks,

Trent

Correct, if you understand that while holding the button they stay on or stay off until you release the button.
