Our first preference would have been to install wood floors throughout to match the kitchen floor but that would have been 5 CB's. We opted to do carpet and vinyl in the bathroom. Due to the complexity of the cockpit finding a good installer was my biggest concern. We found one locally with experience, and are thrilled with the craftsmanship.
The new vinyl bathroom floor is temporary. The existing floor was discolored and had a couple of perforations. We only paid $300 for the material and installation so decided to go for it. Next year we will replace the vinyl with a heated tile floor.

Great looking carpet! Unusual pattern - I like it. If you replaced the factory original shag, I'm sure you're happy with the change. Looks like they did a good job around the cockpit, which is, as you said, the really tough part. ^.^d
Thanks! We wanted something that was early 90's appropriate. :D
