And, for just a little more, many speedometer shops can set the mileage to actual.

Which is the only honest way to do it.  ^.^d

...well at MOT last November they had to replace my odometer at 50,000 so now am down low again after it went to zero.....just wondering how you prove you had that mileage on a coach that's had the odometer replaced?  Is that what you're referring to Brett??  How do they do this???

And, more importantly, WHY did they not re-set it to existing? I know Brett did that to ours and the AS was also set to the existing same, odd.

Aren't both odometer and engine run time available from the engine computer?

I bought a new speedometer online and because it was set at zero, I changed all the fluids and filters, resealed the hyd. motors changed all the fuel lines along with a large list of repairs. I will always know what mileage the work was done. If I sell the coach I will show them the VMSpc correct mileage on the coach and explain why it differs from the odometer.

When buying a replacement speedometer, check with the speedometer manufacturer for the name of a shop that is authorized to reset mileage.

That is exactly what many have already done-- in many cases the manufacturer will ship your speedometer directly to that dealer, he will reprogram it and send it to you.  No big deal.

I sent mine to Ft Lauderdale Speedometer and they repaired it and set the Odometer to my requested milage for about $200 including shipping.

Mine was replaced at Foertravel before we bought the coach, a dealer form from FT was in the coach documenting the miles when it was changed but the mileage was not reset.
