Title: 95' U320SE Generator ( fuel filters) question
Post by: pocketchange on June 30, 2016, 10:34:26 pm
One or two fuel filters on the KUBOTA 10K get set?
I replaced the obvious filter on the gen set and have been looking for a second (?) filter.

If there is a second filter, where and what is its PN.

I must have not been paying attention and missed this for whatever reason. pc

Our (similar) rig received GenSet maintenance at MOT this week and changed just one fuel filter. I'm at FOT now and will ask around, Gary. More to come. Paul

IF, repeat IF there are two:

One on the generator itself (generator PN)

One separate (probably Racor) mounted on the diesel supply line between tank and generator.  Chassis mounted.  Look under the coach from the front right (ahead of the right front tire).

Seems the one filter is it.

Thanks for the reply. pc

I spend as much time under my coach as inside it. I have never seen another fuel filter other than the engine mounted unit on my Kubota 4cyl.

Glad you posted this, I always thought I should be looking harder for the pre-filter because "it must be there, I'm just not seeing it."

Mine didn't have one either however mine did have a filter in the electric fuel pump before the main filter on the engine.

Guys,

Sorry for the slow response. I was driving...really.

Friday, I asked David Flannagan, who introduced me to Mark Harvey, about the fuel filters on these. Some had secondary in-line filters and one '95 had a dedicated Racor unit mounted aft of the genset. (My '95 has neither that I have found.)

David, Mark and Larry were all putting coaches on the road before our FT was built. Great history in these guys. They speak FT.
