Title: Minor but major bathroom latch.
Post by: Mike Leary (RIP) on July 02, 2016, 01:33:05 pm
No one was trapped inside, but the latch just quit working. Finally pried it open, but appears some parts are missing? Can't complain after all these years, but the plastic mechanism has got me confused. Looked on the floors for parts, but nada, other than what's in the pics. The heavy-duty latch has "Taiwan" stamped on it. Anyone got a clue, or parts?

Same latch as on My 1996 Monaco the 2 plastic pieces should be 1 piece and you are missing a spring. I was able to by them online.

I'll have to go into the Monaco and look for the receipt.

Close but no cigar. You can just use the plastic piece that comes with the latch.

Got it today, thanks for the link. Warning to others, the holes are different on the new in/out latches. Good news? The Plastic opener and spring work fine, sorta. Better than having a screwdriver handy to pry the door open!  ^.^d
