My coach is slightly pulled to the right. I have to put a constant pressure (note: small) on the steering to correct it. I understand the road crown, the height and weight of the coach. Do you accept the fact or have any cure for that? My ride height is 1/2 inch lower in the front comparing to the rear. I don't know if it has any effect on the pulling.
Thanks,
Michael
Height and weight don't affect steering, road crown will make the coach pull to the right. Ride height differential shouldn't cause pulling either but can cause other issues, Have the alignment checked as it is the most likely to cause pulling problems.
Agree 1/2" low ride height in front will not cause a pull. BUT, would adjust that to spec.
Here is the order I would use to determine cause/fix the pull:
Could be a brake hanging up-- would be indicated by HEAT at wheel/rotor.
Could be tires-- rotate front tires left to right.
Could be caster. Right side should 1/2 to 3/4 degree MORE caster than left to account for road crown.

If it has a STEER SAFE device misadjustment will also cause a pull to one side.

Our coach pulled significantly to the right when we bought it. Wayne at FOT in NAC did an alignment, and it was MUCH better.
My understanding is that differential caster between right and left is established by the shape of front axle. However, the caster of both sides (together) can be adjusted by changing shims. I think that is the primary adjustment that Wayne made to our coach to cause the steering to be more neutral.
Since then, we've had the front end aligned two more times. In each of those adjustments, only the toe was adjusted. The last adjustment of toe lead to reduced wandering.
I rechecked my ride height of the air bags at multiple times/road locations and found that my right front airbag is a half to an inch lower than to the left. Both rears are the same height or very close.
Any idea? I would like to address the ride height first before heading to the alignment shop.
Thanks,
Michael
Side to side is controlled by rear. Is the right rear low also?
Right rear and left rear are about the same height or very close.
Thanks,
Michael
Anything in the front corners that would cause a weight imbalance? Ever had the coach 4-corner weighed? Can get it done in Bushnell, FL about 60 miles north of Tampa.
