I set the airbags to max high and slithered under the aft section of my new to me 1997 U270 (is this safe?). First I removed the old sewer hose tube pipe (that you put the sewer hose in) as it was very flimsy and almost rubbing on the left rear tire. Coach came with a new high tech dump hose (with 2 clear windows!) so wont be needing this storage...and new hose wont fit in it anyhow.
While I was down there I saw this piece of sheet metal...all bent up and hanging by 1 bolt...looked like it could chafe lines or catch on something...so unbolted the 1/2 in bolt and removed it. Sure hope it is not important as it is really bent up. What is it and am I ok without it?

NOT AT ALL! You need to ensure the coach won't come down on you

We need to see a pic of your part to identify it.
Carl,
Posting photos is a little tricky until you get the hang of it. Try reading this thread for "How To":

Only parts i can think of are the covers that screw into the flooring to secure the fuel and air hoses.
I removed that tube on my coach, as I never used it, even though I still have an old style dump hose. I keep the hose in a large plastic box. I put a piece of sheet aluminium over the back side of the small plastic door and caulked it so water would not get inside the compartment when driving in the rain.
