Title: What's The Cereal Bowl Thing On The Roof ?
Post by: toyman on July 30, 2016, 04:04:36 pm
Forward of the old Track Star satellite antenna I have what looks like a cereal bowl upside down on the roof. It has wire running to it, haven't checked the wire type. It doesn't appear to have any mechanical fasteners, just puckey holding it down. Any suggestion ?

I'm removing the old satellite antenna and wonder if this is part of it?

Cover over the compass for the Javalina/Audit.  Caulked in place.

Cover over the compass for the Javalina/Audit.

Speaking of which, is there any way to use the OEM compass paraphernalia once you have removed the Javalina/Audit?

Thanks,

Trent

Our Audit 860 system has (fairly accurate) compass function, but we don't have a "cereal bowl" on the roof.  Where is our compass located?

I use my iPad & iPhone as GPS, both have compass included. I'm trying to clean off the roof as much as possible in prep for solar installation & roof coating. I'll probably just remove it.

Chuck, I seem to remember that on the GV's I had it was under the front cap inside,
