OK here goes..
Finally got the coach home,
Where did they put the manual control box for the Zip Dee main awning? We haven't even found a remote for it....so will have to manually switch on and off.
thnx
Mine is in the big bay in the middle of the bay white or gray box? Don't remember the color
OK, will look in the morning, thnx
red
Gray box mounted the chassis support center rail. Middle top. Manual switches are inside.
A new remote from zipdee is available. You will need the nr from the control box and it will come programmed for your coach. There is a fuse under the inside of the box. If the awning has not been out in a while it could be blown.
Electric awning from ZipDee. Make friends with Jimmy at ZipDee. He is like Yoda! He knows those things in and out and can troubleshoot over the phone and save your sanity. I would look in your coach for these things .... #1 The MANUAL. It will tell you what the switches are and what little lights should be working and what they do. VITAL information. It also gives you the phone number for ZipDee, and your new best friend, Jimmy. #2 A long Emergency Retraction Cord. In the case of some of the wiring going bad, or the "brain" in the control box, or old wiring being cracked, or the wiring in the front control arm being damaged (ALL od which has happened to us) You will need this to retract the awning, if it becomes stuck in the open position. The first time we needed this, I had to make my own, by lopping the ends off of an extension cord to get some bare wires attached to the battery and the motor in the main awning. I could have sold tickets to that event! #3 The Manual ... phone number for Jimmy. Honestly, he will be your new brest friend. Happily ... you can print the manual by accessing the website <awningsbyzipdee.com>.
Gray box in 2nd bay on passenger side.
Yup found it & the remote was hanging on an air line by the box!
pushed the open button and all I got was a click....
The 12 volt compressor will only build pressure to abt 90 lbs with a leak down in an hour or 2, so have at least one leak, this is after isolating the air supply to the slide bladder which has a major hole in it. ended up pulling the electrical connection at the buss so it wouldn't run all the time
A big thankyou to all....
