Roger,
Saw the two chrome fans on your dash. Are they covered up by your shades?
Most of the time, I see them mounted in the upper corners pointing in at an angle. How did you come up with your location?
My main reason for installing them is to make up for my lack of dash air. Any suggestions, other than fixing my dash air?
Thanks,
Trent
Trent, I wrestled with where to put those for a long time. They come in handy for a breeze when it is hot out but for us their biggest use time is driving south in the dead of winter to boost defrost capability. They really help. Two speeds.
Upper corners, lower center, trying to fit around the shades. No good solution so I mounted them on a piece of cherry so that they fit between the defrost vents and the windshield. I routed out a pocket in the bottom big enough for a 3/8 x 3 x 8" piece of steel bar stock glues iin place. The bottom is covered with a heavy upholstry fabric. Wires come out to a female power plug. I made a lighter socket to a wye to two male power plugs that allows eith fan to be anywhere on the dash. They works great, never move on their own and with a bigger gage wire power cord don't slow down when both are on.

yes the front shades come down in front of the fans leaving the defrost vents inside of the shades.
Funny, I was going to ask about the fans as well. Roger, what brand are these?
Thank you as always.
COOL idea, Roger! I like the versatile mounting system. ^.^d
They must have sold a lot of those fans - we have similar ones in our coach (mounted in the "traditional" manner by a PO). Only complaint I have is they are kinda noisy/buzzy when running (especially right next to your ear), but they DO move the air pretty good. We use them to augment the front roof air when driving on hot days (our dash air is M.I.A.) I can't remember the brand name...
Check United Pacific Industries in Long Beach, CA:

I went out and looked at our fans, and I STILL don't know what the brand is! They are made in China, of course. There is some kind of stylized script name on the front, but I'm not sure what it says. The closest thing I can find to the name (with Google) is "RoadPro", but there are a bunch of different brands for sale on Amazon, and they all look similar. Don't know how you would decide which is the "best" quality...

Very, very nice, Roger. I could have used that set-up when we lived up north in the "rain belt". ^.^d
This is what I think (pretty sure) we have.

Definitely United Pacific. Two speed. Usually run on lower speed. Maybe a bit noisy but when you are driving ...
I put one of those (still there) in the bedroom above the corner vanity but Ruth will NOT have it on when she is in there as it makes too much noise so it is now just an ornament. I agree that they are way too noisy anywhere in coach. Ruth found some that are very quiet so we have a few of them instead of running the AC which we both hate and do not use.
I did for a bit when at the Dunes last week as I was on my own.

I agree John, they work fine as dash fans while driving. Not too bad at low speed but still pretty noisy.
We like these while parked ...

3 speed, oscillating, timer, quiet.
We use this one while driving. Cuts way down on AC. And it is very stable.
